In the morning, meet your local guide and drive to Millau. This city is nowadays famous for the impressive viaduct that was imagined and built by architect Sir Norman Foster.
This ridge high of 343 metres and long of nearly 3 kilometres is one of the most important building realized in the early 21st century. A special space near the bridge welcomes you and explain you the history of this viaduct from its conception to its building.
Then, it’s time to appetize you and to go and visit the Roquefort cellar cheeses. There, the guide of the cellar would explain you how they produce and maturate this creamy, soft and characterful cheese…
Lunch: Regional lunch.
In the afternoon, discover the natural area of Aveyron. Travel along the Jonte gorges. This long valley is stuck in between two plateaus, the Méjean and the Black one.
You would be stunned by the beauty of the landscape, the particularity of the fauna and flora.
Be also prepared to maybe meet the master of these gorges, the Griffon vulture that was reintroduced in this area in the 1970’s.
