Day 1 Arrival in Toulouse

Arrival in Toulouse at the late morning
In the afternoon, private guided tour of the old city, nicknamed "the pink city" and its emblematic monuments: the St. Sernin Basilica, the largest Romanesque church, the Jacobins church and its famous pillar called the Palm Tree, the Capitol square and the famous walk along the banks of the Garonne.

Leave towards the city of Albi.
You will discover its half-timbered houses, the cloister St Salvy and its garden, the alleys including many mansions ... then you will be surprised by the St Cecile Cathedral offering a stunning contrast between the exterior rigour of its defensive architecture and the interior richness of a sumptuous decoration. In the afternoon, discover a small city built on the hills: Cordes sur Ciel. This splendid village dominating the valley of Cérou will enchant you by its maze of medieval alleys and its sumptuous facades of mansions. Back to Toulouse for the night. Day 3 Lourdes

At the foot of the Pyrenees, this city is the ideal starting point for sports and nature activities.

Day at the Pic du Midi, a magical and majestic place at the top of the Pyrenees!
As soon as you arrive, the panoramic terraces welcome you to discover the most majestic of landscapes: 300 km of summits are at your disposal. Discover everything that makes the Pic du Midi an exceptional and renowned place for astronomical observation.
Night in Lourdes.
Optional: spend the night at the top of the Pic du Midi! Optional : - Access to the summit by a hike of about 3 hours (17 km - easy but long level) through the mountain. Descent: about 2h30 - Reach the top by the cable car and walk back down or by mountain bike. Various downhill routes (up to 11 km) are possible via the hiking trails.

Day 5 Cathar Country

Visit of the castle of Montségur, the last Cathar refuge. Perched on its mountain, it offers you a splendid view of the nearby Pyrenees.
Stop in the medieval village of Mirepoix where you will appreciate the market place and its medieval cutlery. Road through the Aude valley to reach Carcassonne.
Night in Carcassonne in a 5* hotel with view on the medieval city.

In the morning, visit of the counts’ castle of the city of Carcassonne. Afternoon on your own to let you soak up the atmosphere of the city.

Day 7 Fontfroide Abbey and Montpellier

Departure from Carcassonne for the abbey of Fontfroide.
Visit the Cistercian abbey and its garden before driving to Montpellier.
On the spot, your guide is waiting for you to make you discover this city of Montpellier.

In the morning, go for adventure on board a 4X4 vehicle for a safari in the Camargue. At each stop, you will be immersed in the heart of authentic natural landscapes and unsuspected discoveries. Visit a manade where horses and bulls are bred and where you will take a break to taste local products. You will then drive in the heart of the pond and through the rice fields.
You will end your day in Aigues Mortes, a famous fortified town where many art galleries and stores await you. Accommodation in a 4* hotel in Montpellier city center.

Day 9 Uzès and Pont du Gard

Visit of the Truffle Farm of Uzès. On 15 hectares, explore and discover the truffle field, the Mediterranean essences district, the experimental plantations, and the open-air museum dedicated to the truffle and its cultivation. Demonstration of truffle hunting (in season only) with dogs and tasting.
Take advantage of your free time in Uzès to discover the medieval alleys, antique shops and local products. Continue to discover the local gastronomic products by visiting the olive oil mill. As olive oil is a major component of the local cuisine, you will learn about the different flavors and species of local olives.
End your day at the Pont du Gard, the best preserved Roman aqueduct, located in a protected natural environment. Option : Canoe under the Pont du Gard Accommodation in a 4* hotel in Montpellier city center.
