Day 1 Carcassonne - Limoux

Arrival in the morning to Carcassonne and lunch including an authentic Cassoulet in the medieval city. Enjoy a guided tour of the medieval city of Carcassonne to discover the ramparts, the lice and the basilica. Short free time in the city before driving along the valley of the River Aude towards Limoux. Wine tasting of the famous Blanquette, the oldest sparkling wine in the world!
Drive to Alet-les-Bains. This charming medieval village will surprise you with its rich heritage. Dinner and night.

Visit of the village of Rennes Le Château, known all over the world thanks to its Abbot François Berenguer Saunière, who left in the village numerous buildings and riddles. Puzzles that still inspire authors and researchers from all over the world today! Visit its museum, its gardens and the Saint Mary Magdalena church. 
In the afternoon, head for the castle of Arques. In this 12th century fortress, long opposed to the viscounts of Carcassonne to the Lords of Arques who saw the crusade against the Cathars devasting their territory.
