Morning: Visit the villa in Loupian. The site Museum is one of the few French examples of Gallo-Roman villas presented "in situ".
Discover polychrome mosaics which decorated the residence of the 5th century AD. The site is perfectly representative of these large "villae" (agricultural areas) covering our region.
Lunch: On the edge of the Thau salt water lagoon.
Afternoon: Guided tour of the Mediterranean garden, recreating the Roman gardens and all their specific topics. The guided tour reveals the uses of plants for food, medicine, cosmetics, ornamentation, cuisine, religion, crafts.
Then drive to Ambrussum, old Roman road station along the Via Domitia where you will discover the remains of the road, the Roadhouse, the bridge but also the former houses.
Our advice: Take comfortable shoes for our walk.
