In the morning, embark on a barge for a 2-hour cruise and discover the history of the Canal. Sailing on the canal, pass the locks and other structures such as a navigable aqueduct.
You would be told why and how the canal was created during the 17th century. This sailing over the Canal would also seduce you by its mavellous landscape.
Lunch : Regional lunch in an nearby village.
In the afternoon, travel through the roads of Minervois region and reach the charming village of Minerve. Follow your guide for a walking tour through the medieval streets. Surrounded by natural canyons and natural bridges, the village preserved its typical charm.
Discover the history of the place and what happened during the Crusade against the Cathars… If the river is dry enough, you can follow down your guide and admire the dreadful catapult called “Terrible”…
To conclude this day, visit an olive oil cellar « l’Oulibo » and be explained how the oil his produced.
Option : if rivers are dried out, discover the natural bridges (go shoes are needed!)
