Day 1 Toulouse, ancient and modern
In the morning, visit the Airbus Industry site. In France, the Airbus project is led by Toulouse. In its modern side, the city wants to be an attractive one thanks to its industry, but also the informatic, sciences and technic investigation.
The visit of this site would make you discover the building of an A380 plane, from its conception until the end. You would be welcome in a “boarding room” to start the discovery of the site.
Then see also the assembly chain and discover the conception of these planes. In the site, you may also go onboard a big sized model of the A380 airplane.
Lunch: Stop for lunch in Toulouse city Centre.
In the afternoon, meet your guide go on a walking tour in the historic centre of Toulouse, nicknamed the pink or brick city, its major building material. Start the tour in the main square of the Capitole.
This famous name is not of reference to roman history, but mostly a reference to the men who were ruling the city, the Capitouls. Follow your guide on a walking tour through the streets that lead you to the St Sernin Basilica.
Then, admire the buildings of Toulouse and their bricks façades, the students district, the Jacobins church famous for its palm tree-like column. It is also the occasion of walking along the Garonne river docks, before you visit the courtyard of a private mansion when Toulouse was at the Golden age of the pastel tissue dyeing.
