Uzes is a lovely and charming city of the Gard. Famous for being the “first duchy of France”, you would be pleased by the streets and beautiful private mansions façades that give to the town a special atmosphere. Visit also the stunning St Theodorit cathedral. Uzes was also the place where the famous water way to Nimes was starting... whom main remaining monument is the Pont du Gard.

In the afternoon, leave Uzes to reach another place related to roman history and architecture. Go to the site of the “Pont du Gard”.  This bridge is actually a part of a 52-kilometre long (30 miles) water way that was bringing water to the city of Nimes, and is protected by the Unesco world heritage organisation.
A nice walk to the monument would make you cross the typical Mediterranean landscape surrounding the bridge.
Your guide would explain you the monument building before you go to visit a museum dedicated to the water importance in Roman civilisation.

Hi Sabine.

I’m back and getting organized after our trip. We had a wonderful time, and your help in planning and scheduling went a long way to make our visit so enjoyable!

A question: my wife, Colleen, would like to send some pictures to Leslie. How do we best do that...do you have an email address for her?

Thanks.
